Who Buys / Sells Wholesale Properties?

The Buyers

The buyers of wholesale properties are also real estate investors, who usually buy the properties, fix the properties, upgrading them to move-in standards, and then they sell to retail buyers at a profit. Buyers of wholesale properties usually get them for at least 70 percent to 80 percent of the after-repair value, minus the cost of repairs.

The Sellers

Real estate investors who sell wholesale real estate to other investors usually get these properties through short sales (buying over-leveraged properties at a discount and not the amount owed), REO’s (bank-owned properties), or other kinds of distressed properties. Since these properties are bought at heavily discounted prices, they can still be sold for a quick sale at wholesale prices, and the sellers still make a profit.
